Scourtex P-Scour – highly effective detergent for polyester and other synthetic fibre scouring
Technical Properties
It contains powerful detergents and emulsifiers for removal of spinning oil size together with dispersants for oligomer control. Although Scourtex P- Scour is primarily for polyester, excellent results have been found in the scouring of polyamides and cellulosic knitted goods. The product is also exceptionally low foaming, phosphate free and readily biodegradable.
Applications
Scourtex P- Scour can be used in continuous or batch systems. A typical recipe for scouring polyester in jets is described below:
Scourtex P- Scour - 1.0 - 2.0 g / L
Sodium carbonate - 1.0 - 2.0 g / L
Liquor ratio at 10:1
Temperature at 95 °C
Process time 30-45 minutes
Wash off hot and cold incorporating an acetic rinse.
