A concentrated protective colloid with very high dispersing and soil suspension properties for the dyeing and washing of reactive and direct dyed fabrics and prints. It prevents the precipitation and deposit of insoluble calcium and magnesium salts on fibres and machinery resulting in improved liquor stability and more consistent dyeings. Also particularly suitable for the scouring and bleaching process in order to prevent hydroxide and carbonate deposits on machinery and fabric and also to promote the removal of size and impurities resulting in cleaner and more absorbent fabric. GOTS Approved product.
| Dyeing | 0.5 – 2.0 g/L |
| Reactive dyed or print wash off treatment (soaping) | 0.5 – 2.0 g/L |
| Scouring and bleaching / pre-treatment usage | 0.5 – 2.0 g/L |
The photograph below represents the high chelation power of Texassist A30, the test tube on the left contains only water, the middle one is a calcium acetate / sodium carbonate titration with Texassist A30 as the protective colloid, whereas the tube on the right contains the same quantity of calcium acetate / sodium carbonate without any protective colloid. It can clearly be seen that without any chelating agent, the calcium carbonate salts are precipitated out of solution and are free to interfere with processing routes. Note: This illustration is showing Texassist A30 in an exaggerated situation whereby the level here is equivalent to 400ppm calcium carbonate per 1g Texassist A30.
This chelation power is maintained, as after a period of time, it can be seen that the precipitate formed on the right is dropping out of suspension to create a phased solution.
