Texdye PDW - Multi-functional, multi-fibre dyeing auxiliary
Technical Properties
Texdye PDW is a multifunctional auxiliary for the dyeing of 100% polyester, polyester blends, wool, polyamide, acetate and acrylic. It is stable in acidic, alkaline and high electrolyte conditions which make it particularly suitable for the single bath dyeing of polyester / cellulose blends. The product has excellent wetting, dispersing and levelling properties together with strong sequestering action against heavy metal ions.
Application
For disperse dyes on polyester / polyester blends:
In jets, 1 – 2g/L
In package or beam, 2 – 3g/L
For acid dyes on wool / nylon – levels are very dependant upon depth of shade required, dyestuff and equipment used. Since the product works by blocking the reactive sites on the fibre, application levels are reduced as the depth of shade required increases.
Typically, 2 – 4g/L is used for pale shades but only 0.5 – 1.5 g/L is used for dark shades.
