Texdye SPD New - Acid Donor for sustained pH control for Polyamide dyeings
Technical Properties
A high purity acid donor which is used mainly for assisting the dyeing of polyamides and also is suitable for wool.
It is an organic acid ester which slowly releases hydrogen ions causing the pH of the dyebath to drop with the increase in temperature.
Application
Normally 0.2 - 0.5g/l of Texdye SPD New is sufficient to control the pH and consequently the uptake of dyestuff. Such dosage will result in an initial dyebath pH of approximately 7, which falls to as low as pH 3.0 as the dyeing process continues.
