Texfin® FC6 - 'Next generation' concentrated fluorocarbon polymer
Technical Properties
Texfin® FC6 is a new generation concentrated C6 polymer fluorocarbon which is suitable for use on cellulosic and synthetic fibres.
It imparts excellent water and oil repellency even at low application levels and can be used with Texfin extenders and cross linking agents to maximise durability to washing.
Texfin FC6 is PFOS and PFOA* free (* below detectable limits) thus minimising the environmental impact whilst maintaining the performance compared to C8 polymer products.
Application
To achieve maximum performances, substrates are required to be free from surfactants / salts and are neutral prior to finishing.
Application levels will vary from substrate to substrate and preliminary trials are recommended to determine optimum levels, however the following figures should provide a suitable starting point.

Typical dry and cure conditions are 160°C for 1 – 2 minutes
