Texfin® FCA New - Amphoteric fluorocarbon for flexible fabric finishing
Technical Properties
An extremely effective fluorocarbon designed for use in systems where combinations of finishes may give rise to compatibility issues. Particularly suited to the carpet industry for application by spray or foam to finished carpet and cured through drying or baking ovens. It gives a high degree of water and oil repellency to Wool, Wool/Nylon and Nylon tufted carpet and because of its amphoteric nature, can be incorporated with anionic stain-blocking agents in one - bath application processes.
Application
To achieve maximum performances, substrates are required to be free from surfactants / salts and are neutral prior to finishing.
Application levels will vary from substrate to substrate and preliminary trials are recommended to determine optimum levels, however the following figures should provide a suitable starting point.

| Nylon & Polyester | 30-50g/l at approx 60 % p/u |
Typical dry and cure conditions are 160°C for 1 – 2 minutes
