Texfin® HFFR is a flame retardant coating that does not contain any halogens or antimony oxide. It can be used on both synthetic and cellulosic fabrics. It can achieve BS 5852 and MVSS-302 flammability specifications. It can be applied by knife or foam dependent upon customer requirements. The product is able to withstand curing and heat transfer printing at elevated temperatures. Texfin® HFFR contains a complex blend of halogen free chemicals that pass UK FR legislation at similar add on levels to Antimony and Brominated compounds.
Recommended usage levels for cotton are between 18 – 20% owf for typical fabric weights between 200-400gsm. For Polyester we recommend usage levels between 25-30% owf. Preliminary checks should be carried out in advance of bulk production. Fabrics containing impurities may require higher usage levels of Texfin® HFFR.
Texfin® HFFR will require a cure of between 140 - 170°C for 45-90 seconds dependent upon coating weight applied.
