Texfin® PDFR - Durable polyester flame retardant
Technical Properties
Texfin® PDFR is a durable halogen free flame retardant for application to polyester fabrics by padding.
When applied correctly Texfin PDFR will withstand up to 50 washes at 60ºC.
When applied under recommended conditions Texfin PDFR will meet the requirements of BS5852 0 & 1; BS5651; BS597 0 & 1; BS5438; BS7177; EN533; NFPA701; NFP92-504.
Application
Recommended usage levels are 60 – 200 g/l based on 100 % wet pick-up.
Padding liquor should be adjusted to pH 6 with soda ash prior to application.
Texfin® PDFR will require drying at 100 - 140ºC followed by curing at 180°C for 1 – 2 minutes.
We would recommend rinsing after treatment to remove any residual / unfixed flame retardant.
