Texfin® PFC - Concentrated fluorocarbon resin finish for all round use
Technical Properties
Texfin® PFC is predominantly for use for semi-durable fabric finishing on synthetic fibres. It can also be used on the majority of all other fibres, whereby durability requirements can be increased through use of additional extenders and cross linkers. It can also be used for application to carpets.
Application
To achieve maximum performances, substrates are required to be free from surfactants / salts and are neutral prior to finishing.
Application levels will vary from substrate to substrate and preliminary trials are recommended to determine optimum levels, however the following figures should provide a suitable starting point.
Fabrics
| 100% Cotton | 20-50g/l at approx 70 % p/u |
| Polyester/Cotton | 20-40g/l at approx 70 % p/u |
| Nylon & Polyester | 15-30g/l at approx 70 % p/u |
Typical dry and cure conditions are 160°C for 1 – 2 minutes
Carpets
100g/L Texfin® PFC
20g/L Foaming agent (i.e.Texfin® PWG)
Auto Foam set at 10% Wet pick-up and 20:1 Blow Ratio
Typical dry and cure conditions are 140°C – 170°C for 30 seconds up to 2 minutes
