Texfin® RFC Conc. - Concentrated, low temperature drying Water & Oil repellent
Technical Properties
A high performance fluoropolymer for effective water and oil repellency. The exceptional properties make this product particularly suitable for treatment of Personal Protective Clothing and workwear.
Lower drying temperatures can be utilised to achieve exceptional repellency, thus saving time and energy costs through optimised processing.
Texfin RFC Conc is not recommend for use in high shear systems such as Auto-foam and E-Vac units.
Application
To achieve maximum performances, substrates are required to be free from surfactants / salts and are neutral prior to finishing.
Application levels will vary from substrate to substrate and preliminary trials are recommended to determine optimum levels, however the following figures should provide a suitable starting point.
| 100% Cotton | 20-50g/l at approx 70 % p/u |
| Polyester/Cotton | 10-40g/l at approx 70 % p/u |
| Nylon & Polyester | 5-40g/l at approx 60 % p/u |
Typical dry and cure conditions are 120°C – 180°C for 30 seconds up to 2 minutes.
