Handle Modifiers (Basic Softeners, Silicone softeners)
Softeners are utilised to enhance a large range of textiles, and the majority of these handle modifying finishes are applied to clothing to improve the texture and drape of specific fabrics, conferring different effects of softness such as bulk or smooth and slick. Other softeners offer technical advantages too such as hydrophilic finishes for example where a bath towel needs to be soft to the skin yet absorbent.
