Stitch Lubricants (Polyethylenes)
The application of polyethylene emulsions to any fabric can be of varying advantages; the main reason is to effectively reduce friction between the needle and the fabric and thereby reducing the amount of damage caused to the textile by stitching.
They are also useful as mild abrasion resistant finishes and can also provide excellent alternative handles to that of standard softeners. The Non-ionic polyethylene emulsions are of particular advantage as they can be used alongside the majority of other finishing products within a one-bath system. We can supply polyethylene emulsions up to 40% solids content.
