Texfin® SD2 – A Semi-Durable Flame Retardant for pad-application
Technical Properties
Texfin® SD2 is primarily for natural fibres (cellulose, viscose, linen etc) and their blends with synthetic fibres, providing the synthetic portion does not exceed 25%.
It is particularly suitable for the treatment of upholstery cover fabrics and schedule 3 interlining fabrics where it meets the requirements of BS 5852 after water soak procedure BS 5651.
GOTS Approved Product.
Application
Recommended usage levels are 300 - 450g/l based on a 75% wet pick-up for upholstery cover fabrics.
For schedule 3 interlining fabrics, a recommended usage level of between 700-800g/l is recommended.
Drying and Curing should be done at 160-170°C for 2-4 minutes dependent upon equipment used
