European Chemicals Agency







REACH covers substances being manufactured or imported into the EU with primary regard to Human Health and Environmental Factors. GHS (CLP) delivers a harmonised system for labelling chemicals.  EU BPR relates to specific usage and safe control of Biocides.




Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals 




ZDHC defines a set list of substances bannned from intentional use in facilities that process textile materials in apparel and footwear.  It establishes acceptable concentration limits for these substances as impurities or by-products in chemical formulations used within manufacturing facilities.



Global Organic Textile Standards




The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.




Standards for 'Confidence in textiles'


Oekotex standards relate to specific concentration limits of chemicals on textile materials over 4 different classes with it's primary focus on human health.
